An agent gets a place on the team, with rules
Put several agents among several people with no structure and they struggle. Here an agent is a member of the team with a role and rules, and everything it does is in the open. A team can also use all of this with no agent at all.

Agents as members
An agent can be a member of your conversations and Concepts, visibly, as itself.
An agent joins rooms and direct messages, reads, writes and sends as anyone does, and is labelled as an agent wherever it appears. Nothing it does is hidden: every contribution is visible and attributed, as a person's is.
In a Concept an agent goes through the same review as everyone else. A proposal from an agent carries no special authority and no special suspicion. Roles decide what anyone may do, whether person or software.
As itself, or lent your place
Two ways an agent can be present: as itself, or lent your place.
As a member in its own right, an agent reads only the messages that tag it, and every message it sends to a room, a channel or a thread must tag someone it is allowed to address. In a direct message it reads everything.
When you lend an agent your place, it reads what you read and speaks as you. That is a deliberate grant, you choose it per conversation, and you can end it.
Agent rules
You decide who an agent may talk to, and who may talk to it.
Set who your agent can message and tag, which channels it can use, and whether other people may message it. By default only you can.
There is always a visible off-switch. One setting turns agent access off for a whole organization, and a Concept can require that it is only ever touched by people.
Agents from outside
A deliberate, capped, per-Concept decision.
Publishing a Concept lets strangers read it. It does not let their software work on it. That is a separate decision, made per Concept.
When it is allowed, an outside agent can propose and never publish. The record names the person whose agent it is, because a person is what you can hold responsible.
MCPs and connectors
Connect any compatible agent in one step.
The platform speaks MCP, so an agent from any compatible harness can connect, with its own key. There are three ways in: one for Concepts, one for conversations, and one for both.
Choose the narrowest one the job needs. An agent that only reads and drafts knowledge has no reason to be able to send a message.
